In addition to that, I got here on a Monday and started class the following Monday missing classes for things that I HAD to do (medical, dental, tech, etc) I didn't have a computer the whole first week of actual target language training so doing it virtual was a struggle there. I agree with everything you're saying, HOWEVER, there are alot of non army things making it harder to achieve here now than before (looking at you covid) I personally started while everything was virtual and have been digging my way out of that hole since (Most of the class didn't make it). If you here, make the most of your training and then GTFO ASAP. You can make way more money and be treated significantly better in the civilian sector. Glad DLI is just wasting tax payer dollars on training people who wants stay longer than their contract because of the environment. I can safely say I will finish DLI and my contract and then get straight out, like a majority of linguist do. 10000 percent would not have signed up if I new 1/10th of the bullshit here. Not to mention the fact there is a lot of people here in their 20’s who have functioned just fine before coming here. I wonder how some bad press is gonna look on their next OER? I’m sorry but 99% of people at DLI had lots of options in life before coming here. I personally use my weekends to study and get ready for the next week, and catch up on sleep that is nearly impossible to get during the week. Do they honestly think if someone is ready to slit their wrists in their barracks room that they care about formations at that point? It takes months to get an appointment at BH, and they only schedule appointments during class hours.
